Several Engineers from Childs Engineering attended the MALSE/BSCES 1 day seminar on Sustainability and Resiliency in FEMA Special Flood Areas. The course was taught by leaders from the State and FEMA Region 1 and highlighted the issues of building and designing in floodplains and the economic impacts of FEMA insurance cost versus additional construction cost to reduce insurance.
