As part of a long term transition plan Charlie M. Roberts, PE, D.PE, a longtime employee of Childs, has assumed the role of President from David L. Porter, PE. Dave has assumed the role of Chairman and will continue to be an integral part of the organization on a daily basis. The new roles will enable a smooth transition as Charlie becomes the third president since its founding in 1970.
Charlie stated that he “intends to build on the solid foundation that Dave help build as the first person to be hired by founder Kenny Childs in 1972” Charlie also added that he “takes great pride in leading an organization that has such a rich history as one of the pioneers of the engineer diver industry and looks forward to continuing to be a leader in the specialized field of waterfront structures.”
