Childs Engineering Corporation was tasked by NAVFAC with conducting routine Waterfront Facility Inspections at 89 facilities in Japan, and determining the adequacy of mooring hardware layouts and capacities based on ships that are commonly berthed at 13 of the Fleet and Industrial Supply Center (FISC) fueling facilities in Yokosuka and Sasebo, Japan.

Childs Engineering performed both a pre-demolition survey and a post-demolition survey in Fort Point Channel, adjacent to the Northern Avenue Bridge Tender’s House. As part of the project for the partial demolition of the Tender’s House, this work was done to ensure that no debris was deposited within the waterway and if so, have it properly removed.
