At Childs Engineering, we specialize in waterfront structural engineering, a unique and rewarding field that involves working on complex projects from piers and wharves to marine terminals and drydocks. But we don’t just design and inspect structures from the shore — we get in the water too. We’re one of the few firms to combine engineering with certified commercial diving, and we’re looking for motivated, talented individuals to join our team.

Our team members are trained as ADCI certified commercial divers, meeting US Coast Guard and OSHA standards. This unique combination of skills means you’ll be involved in every stage of a project, from above the waterline to below. If you’re not already a certified diver, we’ll help you get there.
