Childs Engineering Attends Ports ’25 in Rhode Island

Childs Engineering proudly participated in the Ports ’25 Conference as both a sponsor and exhibitor, joining industry leaders from around the world to explore the future of port and waterfront infrastructure.

Throughout the event, our team connected with peers, clients, and agency representatives to showcase our expertise in waterfront structural design, inspection, and rehabilitation. Attendees had the opportunity to learn about our innovative and sustainable approaches to resilient marine engineering.

President Charlie Roberts also took part in the conference as a presenter, submitting a technical paper titled “Coastal Resiliency Protection for South Boston’s Marine Park.” His presentation highlighted strategies for safeguarding critical urban waterfront infrastructure in the face of climate change and sea level rise.

The conference provided valuable opportunities for our staff to attend technical sessions, exchange insights, and network with professionals across the port and maritime sectors.

“Our team valued the chance to engage with peers and share insights on the challenges facing today’s marine infrastructure,” said Charlie Roberts, President. “We’re proud to support events that promote innovation and collaboration across the industry.”
