Project type: Underwater Inspection, Assessment & Design of Repairs

Childs Engineering Corporation was awarded an indefinite quantity contract (1 year with 2 option years) to provide engineering services related to the inspection, assessment and design of repairs for US Naval waterfront structures.

Areas included in this CONUS Region One Contract include Northeast, Southeast (including Key West), Great Lakes areas, Puerto Rico, and the U.S Virgin Islands.

The engineering services provided under this contract include underwater inspection which is conducted under direct control and supervision of registered professional engineer-divers (performed in accordance with U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Safety and Health Requirements EM 385-1-1 September 2008), topside inspections, assessment of waterfront structures, and the developments of plans and specifications for the repair of waterfront structures. These tasks are accomplished following NAVFAC standards for CAD, developing specifications in Specs-In-Tact and cost estimates using Success cost estimating software.
